Few bats take the BBCOR world by storm more than The Goods. These are the next generation DeMarini Voodoo bats and come in a hybrid (The Goods) and single-piece (The Goods One Piece) version. DeMarini also added some USSSA versions for 2021.

The 2022 DeMarini The Goods is set to release later this year. Last we heard some were hopeful it would be late October (like the 27th). However, due to shipping and import issues that have been industry-wide, it’s possible those might be delayed again. We can confirm that Wilson is working tirelessly to get their inventory in-house (both Slugger and DeMarini) and vendors are praying the bats are here in time for many to consider for holiday purchases. It is safe to say the bats will not be here for fall ball. But everyone is crossing their fingers for a pre November release.

2021 DeMarini The Goods

On the shortlist of most anticipated bats for 2021 stand The Goods. This bat had considerable success despite COVID-19 in 2020. It reached a hype level few have achieved. Although the bat was good to a great performer, it still isn’t for everyone. In BBCOR, save the paint job, it is the same bat as the 2020 version (plus an updated end cap). DeMarini adds a USSSA drop 5 and 10 to the mix as well. The BBCOR is $50 more ($399), the USSSA is $20 ($279).

2021 DeMarini The Goods One Piece

We hit with the 2021 The Goods One Piece from DeMarini in BBCOR and USSSA, captured exit speeds, swing weights, and player feedback. We also compared the bat to similar bats of the 2021 BBCOR and USSSA world. That data is consolidated in our 2021 DeMarini The Goods One Piece review below. In BBCOR, it claims to swing a bit heavier than The Voodoo from 2020 but we didn’t see a big enough change to make a difference.

2020 DeMarini The Goods One Piece

The 2020 DeMarini The Goods One Piece is the next generation of the Voodoo One. For 2020, DeMarini is also producing the old Voodoo. The difference between the two is a new end cap and paint job. Performance-wise, the bat is still a single-piece aluminum alloy with a balanced swing, ping sound, and durable frame.

2020 DeMarini The Goods Review: Endloaded, Stiff, Big Hitting. We put the 2020 DeMarini The Goods two piece bat in the hands of 3 serious BBCOR ball players. Each found the bat to swing heavy (in a good way), feel great and look fantastic. We also watched many NCAA 2019 College World Series players give it a shot. The bat is a great shift from the Voodoo Insane of 2019 and is clearly built for the big hitter who still likes a two piece hybrid instead of a single piece aluminum. Our Score: 9/10.
