This bat got a lot of press during its heyday but has fallen off the map over the last few months. We think most media was unjustified, and the bat didn't blow away any of our hitters. It felt heavier than the bats it competed against, and most players didn't like how it felt on mishits. That said, we think bigger hitters with big-time swing speed could find the bat useful as it does pack a punch.
Generally, this could be your ticket if you like a heavier swinging single-piece bat with a stiff feel and a smaller barrel profile. Our general sense is most real high school players want the exact opposite of that: a light bat with a big barrel and a forgiving feel on mishits. But if you don't want to do what most do, check out the 2022 Stinger Missile.
The 2022 and 2021 Stinger Missile bats are pretty similar. Both are single-piece alloy bats with smaller barrels that swing heavier. There may be some changes in the grip, but other than that its about the same as it was, except that this came with a bunch of hype.
The 2022 Stinger Missile is a single piece bat with a smaller barrel and a heavier swing.
